What are the Days?
SensoriAbile Padua Days were born out of a desire to try to “put ourselves in each other’s shoes” to create communities that are more welcoming to everyone, especially people with visual impairments.

We want to “ignite” in each of us reflections to make life easier for everyone.
We want to promote a culture that is sensitive, open and attentive to people’s needs, so that the first to be broken down are those relational barriers that, and sometimes without awareness, are generated by commonplaces and lack of knowledge.

We want to offer a novel “point of view”: to let everyone, not just those with a deficit, experience of sensory integration.
Visits, workshops, meetings, concerts and dinners in the dark, sports demonstrations… are made to be experiences where no one feels excluded!
We would like everyone to be able to receive more in return than they would have imagined.

We want to “shine a light” on what already exists and what dozens of realities are already realizing in the territories, to create culture and common good also towards people with sensory disabilities.
The message is important, one for all: inclusion is possible and starts from the encounter between us. That encounter that generates positive relationships, making our communities more solid, and supportive.
The project
The Days grew out of the experience of “SensoriAbile too,” an experimental project that lasted nearly two years and began in 2023 to promote a sensitive and more welcoming culture toward people with visual impairments within the city of Padova.
